TEXAS REAL ESTATE COMMISSION RULES, FORMS:

The Texas Real Estate Commission regulates Texas Inspectors as well as Real Estate Agents.  Here are a few valuable rules for Inspectors:

1. Standards of Practice for Home Inspectors describing minimum requirements as well as systems and conditions that may preclude an item or system to be inspected:











 
2. Inspection Form:  TREC requires that all Home inspectors use this format, but can be computerized (most do). There is a very slighly different form, 7A-1, that is also accepted. The one here is the latest version:



CITY OF AUSTIN ENERGY AUDIT
 
The City of Austin Requires most homes sold to have an Energy Audit.
